After registering with us and paying a small deposit, the process to becoming published is straightforward and managed entirely by us. We'll make sure you know exactly what we need and when we need it to keep your book moving forward.

  1. 1. Meet your Publishing Manager

Within one working day of registering, your dedicated Publishing Manager will be in touch to introduce themself, explain the next steps and answer any questions you might have.

  2. 2. Send us your manuscript

Your Publishing Manager will explain exactly how to do this. We can work with most formats, and can help you to get your file(s) into shape.

  3. 3. Proof-reading and Editing

We'll go through your book with a fine tooth comb, catching typos, and making suggestions for improvement. You'll get to accept or reject each edit, using our simple online tool.

Up to 3 rounds of editing is included in your fixed quote, although the vast majority of our books are print-read after just one.

  4. 4. Typesetting and Design

Once you’re happy with the final edit, we’ll move to typesetting where the book is laid out and the cover is designed - either from scratch or using graphics/ideas you supply

As part of this process we'll also arrange a unique ISBN and barcode so that your book can be sold in any store.

  5. 5. Final Approval

Once you're happy with the design and layout, we'll send you a proof copy for final approval. This may be either a digital or physical version.

  6. 6. Go to Press

If you’re embarking on an initial print run we’ll supply the final documents to our preferred printer and let you know delivery timelines, otherwise we’ll upload them to Amazon Print on Demand. If requested, we’ll also manage the upload to the Kindle store and deposit your book with the British Library.

The easiest way for most people is to simply send us an MS Word document, together with any images as JPEGs.

If you have any difficulties or your mansucript is in a different format, don't worry - just let your Publishing Manager know and they'll help you to get everything together.

Our vast experience in publishing means that we can be quite efficient in getting your book to market, compared to more traditional publishers.

We aim to complete proof reading and editing within two weeks of receiving your book and typesetting in a further week.

This means depending on the speed of your feedback and approval, we could have your book available to buy in as little as a month from receiving your manuscript.

We charge directly for our services, rather than pay royalties on sales. We believe that authors should retain all rights to their work, and keep 100% of the profits from their success.

Typesetting is a crucial aspect of book production that involves arranging text and images on a page to create a visually appealing and readable layout. For self-publishers, understanding typesetting is essential to producing a professional-looking book that stands out in the market.

Absoutely. All of our packages include a free proof copy sent directly to you before the book goes to press, to give you full confidence in the final product.

Traditional publishing and self-publishing represent two distinct paths for authors to bring their books to market. In traditional publishing, authors typically submit their manuscripts to literary agents or publishing houses, hoping to secure a contract. If accepted, the publisher takes on the costs of editing, design, printing, distribution, and marketing, while the author receives an advance and royalties on book sales. This route offers the advantage of professional support and wider distribution networks but often involves a lengthy process and less creative control for the author.

Self-publishing, on the other hand, puts the author in the driver's seat. Authors who choose this route retain full control over their work, from content to cover design, and keep a larger share of the profits. They are responsible for all aspects of the publishing process, including editing, formatting, cover design, and marketing. While this approach offers greater creative freedom and potentially higher earnings per book sold, it also requires more time, effort, and upfront investment from the author. The rise of digital platforms and print-on-demand services has made self-publishing more accessible than ever, allowing authors to reach readers directly without the need for traditional gatekeepers.

We've published a huge array of different genres including novels, memoirs, childrens' books, biographes, auto-biographies, history and romance.

If you are unsure if your book would be accepted, or your have been rejected by another publisher, please send us an email in the first instance, and we'll get right back to you with some guidance.
